For all of you who thought Brittany would get a little break, no such luck. It sounds like they aren't wasting any time at Duke getting her up and working out.
She started physical therapy a few days ago, and that is going pretty well. She is getting out of bed some now and they hope to have her walking some today or tomorrow. All her numbers are still good and the doctors are happy with where she is at.
Soon she will be checking out all the places around Duke under her own steam! John would suggest that you check out the "tub" room!

So glad to hear they are getting you on PT right away, Brittany. Know it will be difficult at times, but just "keep your eyes on the prize". You are getting in shape for an athletic event, and you have played basketball, so just pretend you are working out for the big game. You can do this!

I think of you many times each day and following your blog reminds me of how I kept up on Jamie when she was in the hospital and then later during her recovery. John wrote some great entries for her blog and surprised us all with his wit and writing skill. I hope he shares some of both on your blog.
